Terms and Conditions

Website use, publication enquiries and reader information.

Effective date: 27 October 2026

About this website

Welcome to gauragovindagutika.com, the website of Gaura Govinda Publishing, a trust based in Rādhā Kuṇḍa, India. We introduce devotional books and translations in English, Hindi and Bengali, share lectures and writings, and receive enquiries about publications. In these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Gaura Govinda Publishing.

These Terms govern use of the website. Any purchase is also subject to the sale terms supplied before an order is placed. Nothing here removes rights that applicable law gives you.

Using the website

Please use the website lawfully and respectfully. Do not interfere with its operation, introduce malicious software, attempt unauthorised access, impersonate another person or submit fraudulent enquiries. Contact forms must not be used for unsolicited advertising or unlawful material.

Please provide accurate contact details when enquiring. You may browse public pages without submitting an enquiry.

Publications and translations

Titles described as forthcoming, in preparation or under translation are not guaranteed to be available on a particular date. Please confirm the title, language, edition, format and availability before ordering.

Cover illustrations and photographs are illustrative; minor printed colour or presentation differences may occur. This does not affect your rights where a book is materially different from its description.

We aim to describe publications accurately and may correct errors or publish revised editions. Translation choices and transliteration conventions may vary. Corrections do not retrospectively change an accepted order or remove a reader’s legal remedies.

Book enquiries and orders

Submitting an enquiry, asking about availability or receiving an automated acknowledgement does not place an order, reserve stock or oblige you to buy.

Before accepting payment for a purchase arranged directly with us, we will confirm the seller, title and quantity, total price and currency, applicable taxes, delivery charges and destinations, expected dispatch or delivery information, payment instructions, and cancellation, return and refund terms.

An order is accepted only when the seller expressly confirms acceptance under the terms provided. Do not send payment without confirmed instructions. Never send card numbers, banking passwords or one-time passwords through an enquiry form or ordinary email.

If an accepted order cannot be fulfilled, the seller will explain the available remedy, including any refund required by law. Rights relating to defective, damaged, incorrect or materially misdescribed books remain protected. These Terms do not impose a blanket “no refunds” restriction.

Purchases from external retailers

If you follow a link to an independent retailer, such as Amazon, the purchase is made with the seller identified by that retailer. Its checkout, delivery, cancellation and returns terms apply, subject to applicable law. We do not receive your retailer account password or full payment-card details through our website. Please check the retailer’s own terms and privacy notice before ordering.

Copyright and permitted use

Rights in original translations, editorial material, recordings, photographs, cover artwork and other protected content belong to the relevant rights holders. These may include the publisher, authors, translators, speakers, artists or licensors. Traditional and public-domain source texts retain their own legal status.

You may read publicly available content and share links to our pages. Download and printing permissions are as stated beside the relevant material. Except where permitted by law or an express licence, do not reproduce, republish, translate, commercially distribute or upload protected editions, recordings or artwork without permission.

Access to a sample or digital file does not itself permit distribution of the complete work. Permission requests may be sent to syamesvarii@gmail.com and will be referred to the appropriate rights holder where necessary.

Messages and contributions

You retain ownership of material you submit. You permit us to use enquiries and corrections as reasonably needed to respond and resolve the matter. A private message does not give us permission to publish it as a testimonial, article or endorsement.

Please obtain permission before sending another person’s private information or copyrighted material. Manuscripts, translations or recordings offered for publication require separate publication arrangements.

External links and devotional content

Independent websites are responsible for their own content and services. A link does not automatically constitute an endorsement.

Our books, lectures and writings are offered for devotional study and cultural or educational purposes. They are not personalised medical, legal or financial advice.

Availability and responsibility

We take reasonable care with the website but cannot promise uninterrupted access or that every page will always be free of errors. Access may be temporarily interrupted for maintenance or security work.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect losses arising solely from general website information or temporary unavailability. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or liability or consumer remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. These limitations do not override obligations relating to accepted orders or personal information.

Privacy and changes to these Terms

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Browsing the site is not blanket consent to marketing or unrelated processing.

We may update these Terms and will show the effective date on this page. Changes apply prospectively. Agreed terms continue to govern an accepted order unless a change is lawfully agreed or required by law.

Governing law and complaints

These Terms are governed by Indian law, subject to mandatory protections applicable to you. You may contact us to seek a resolution, but this does not prevent you from using a court, consumer forum, regulator or other remedy available under applicable law. We do not require exclusive jurisdiction that would remove those rights.

For questions, consumer complaints or permission requests, email syamesvarii@gmail.com, with “Complaint” in the subject where relevant. Gaura Govinda Publishing is based in Rādhā Kuṇḍa, India.

Where the Indian Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules apply to our activities, consumer complaints will be acknowledged within 48 hours and redressed within one month of receipt, in accordance with applicable requirements.
